Amigne de Vetroz
This marvelous delicately sweet wine is almost
exclusively grown on only a few hundred hectares of land in
the area around Vetroz in the Valais. Known in the region
since Roman times, it is making a comeback in popularity.
We adore this wine, which is only slightly sweet
- not sweet like a sauternes - makes a lovely aperatif and
is very pleasant to drink at any hour - even on its own without
food. It also goes wonderfully with Foie Gras, Desserts or
Roquefort Cheese.
One of our favorite producers is
Jean Rene Germanier.
